Visual Weight vs. Physical Weight
The students learned that in art, "balance" isn't just about pounds and ounces—it’s about visual weight. They practiced looking at our compositions to see which side felt "heavier" based on color, size, and detail.
The '6, 7' Trick
To help us compare the two sides of our see-saws, we used our catchy new classroom saying: '6, 7'.
As you can see in the thought bubble, the student is using our "6, 7" comparison to decide which side of the artwork needs more "visual muscle" to keep the see-saw from tipping too far!

Don't miss out on our "Spring Into Play" event this Friday, April 10.
Activities: Volleyball, Pin Knockdown, Music, and Arts & Crafts!
Contest: Enter the Jelly Bean Guessing Game for a chance to win a candy basket.
Concessions: Bring a few dollars for snacks and drinks!
See you Friday, Tigers!

🌟 Today’s Mission:
Balance: Finding our center of gravity .
Strength: Building core power to stand tall and confident.
Focus: Using deep "hero breaths" to stay steady.
Look at these "Flying Heroes" in action! It takes incredible focus to stay level while soaring. Way to go!
